Collectors - Angela DiDAngela was exhausted by the time cheerleading practice was over. She had woken at 6 AM to get ready for school, gone through classes all day then practice afterwards. She had to stay late going over some of the paperwork for the cheerleading competition the next weekend and by the time she reached the parking lot, gym bag slung over her shoulder, it was dark and the lot was practically empty, save for a couple of scattered cars.
The blonde high school senior sighed as she dug around her purse for her car keys. She hadnt bothered to change out of her uniform yet, as she was eager to get home, get a decent meal and some rest, so even the fact that she had to search for her keys got on her nerves. When she finally found them, she let out a sigh of relief and pushed the key into the lock, more than ready to get into the car and head home. However, before she even had the chance to open the door, someone grabbed her from behind.
Before she had the chance to cry out for help, a hand cl
Sara's Italian Job Pt.1"Tttthhhssss ssss lllll rrrrrnnnn fffflllltttt!" Vicky snarled at me through the cloth stuffed in her mouth, visible through layers of clear tape plastered over her lips.
"Sssssttttt pppp bbbccchhh!" I snarled back through my identical gag at the freckled face held only centimetres from my own.
"Wwww ddddsss tttssss hhhhpppnnn wwwttthhh yyynnn?"
"Tttt hhhhpppnnsss ttttnnn yyynnnn tttnnn!"
"Wwwwhhhnn yyyynnn sssstttlll mmmmm cccssss!"
"Mmmmm dddnnntt ssstttlll nnntthhhnn!"
God this was tortuous. I'd spied half a dozen support pillars, a couple of sturdy office chairs and even a hook attached to a dangling chain, any of which a snooping girl could have been tied to. But I just had to be lashed against my least favourite detective in the world, to the point that my vision was filled with her freckled
Collectors - Lacie DiDLacie awoke in the middle of the night to someone pressing a hand tightly over her mouth. She assumed it was her sister playing a practical joke on her, however, her assumptions were quickly proved wrong when she saw the masked man standing over her. To her dismay, he was not alone, there were two others with him.
Lacie immediately began to panic, flailing and kicking about in bed. She hoped to be able to free herself long enough to scream for help, perhaps wake her parents or sister up and receive help. MMMMMMM! She screamed as loudly as she could against the gloved hand, but the mans force was strong and her voice was barely audible. Lacie resorted to focusing on thrashing about, hoping that she would be able to break something and make noise that way.
Stop that, one of the men hissed, grabbing her ankles and pressing them together. Struggling isnt going to get you anywhere, he warned as he picked one of Lacies decorative scarves
Fast FoodJane stared at the glass window. The light from the inside of the restaurant met the darkness outside, turning the window into a mirror. The 20-year-old girl stared at her reflection. Wisps of dark brown hair fell over her dark blue eyes. Her small nose and cheeks were sprinkled liberally with light brown freckles. The thin lips of her mouth were turned down in a frown.
She glanced at her watch. The hands read 9:32. She sighed. Her shift wasn't over until 10:00, when she'd go back to the dorm and crash on her bed. She didn't know what she'd been thinking when she'd spotted the "Help Wanted" sing outside "Bob's Burger House." She'd only gotten this job because her parents had refused to keep giving her money to live off of at college unless she got some kind of job.
"Hey! Quit starin' out the window! I ain't paying you to sit around!" Bob shouted from back in the kitchen. "Why don't you get a mop and clean up, if there aint no customers!"
Grumbling to herself, Jane stood up from the boo
Urblake and Rebecca: Webnapped!Prologue
Sean Peoples was on his computer searching for ways to capture Urblake and Rebecca. He was on deviantART looking at spider pics where he saw Alicia wrapping girls in her strong sticky silk. He looked surprised, "She's very good at wrapping people, and perhaps she could wrap Urblake and Rebecca in her spider webs." Sean said. Sean looked at spiderweber's art and stories on dA that showed girls wrapped and gagged by spider silk.
Suddenly, there was a female voice, "I heard that you are looking for me. My name is Alicia; I am a drider who likes to wrap people up." Alicia said. She shows herself to Sean and he saw that she was a drider. Sean was surprised as he wasn't expecting anyone, "My name is Sean Peoples, leader of the People." he introduced himself. "So, you're looking for me to capture someone?" she asked Sean. "Yes I am. I was asking if you could bind and gag Urblake and Rebecca with your strong sticky silk." he asked. "Urblake and Rebecca, the rulers of
Spider 101Madison Morgan sighed as she ran a hand through her dark brown shoulder length hair "I hate Mondays!" she spoke out loud as she put her key into the lock and opened up the door to her classroom. She let out a small smile as she saw the many spider posters up on the walls "home sweet home!" she giggled as she sat down in her chair "I really should go and feed my pets before class starts" Madison thought as she heard the door to her classroom open
"Miss Morgan are you in here" Kelli and Vanessa asked as the two girls walked into the classroom. "What can I do for you girls today?" "we'll were a little behind on our projects for class is there any way we could get an extension or do extra credit?" Kelli asked as she brushed her blonde hair nervously from her eyes Vanessa stood to the left of Kelli waiting to hear what their teacher's answer would be. "Well girls didn't I give you an extension on the last one?" the brunette asked as she looked a
The TrundlerThe waste land behind the fire station is always silent. No birds sing there, and even the wild rabbits and feral cats avoid it. Weedy wildflowers nod their seasonal heads in the breeze. Lying fallow in the midst of housing developments, shopping malls, the new movie theater — the vacant lot stands out like a knife wound on a woman’s placid face, shocking, brazen, ugly.
It is always empty. Except for one thing: a ragged heap of old trash, all nasty black tar paper and vicious snarls of rusted wire, car parts and broken glass and other junkyard jetsam. The embodiment of injury waiting to happen, an invitation to a tetanus shot... the city never hauled it away. No one ever wants anywhere near it; it radiates an eerie sense of calculating watchfulness.
And at night, it wanders.
When darkness falls, and the last cars heading into the hives of tract housing stop illuminating the asphalt with moving-picture shadows, it… unfolds. Bitter, broken tangles, grotesquely mov
